Endodontics: root canal treatments
In some cases tooth decay requires root treatment (endodontic treatment) to allow the tooth to be preserved for as long as possible.
This involves disinfecting, shaping and filling the inner parts of the tooth, also known as root canals, in order to prevent the formation of inflammatory lesions and allow them to heal.
Often this treatment follows a painful episode caused by dental caries (inflammation of the nerve of the tooth, abscess at the root, etc.).
